Popular Country’s Family Reunion To Air New Special This Weekend—“Gettin’ Together”

Tune In to See Country Music’s Legendary Family Reunite and Reminisce

Nashville, TN (December 2, 2011) – Will the circle be unbroken? If “Country’s Family Reunion” has anything to do with documenting the stories and songs of country music’s legendary family, it will remain firmly, and enjoyably, intact. Since 1997,Gabriel Communications has been bringing artists together into one room to reunite and reminisce about their careers, perform signature songs and share stories while the cameras roll. The result has been pure magic, leading to popular TV airings and successful DVD sales leaving country fans clamoring for more. Portions of the latest Reunion installment, “Getting Together,” will air this weekend on RFD-TV (America’s Most Important Rural Network) at the following times:

Joey & Rory’s Bib & Buckle Fest Draws Over 1,000 Friends And Family

What a cool event! From Campbell Entertainment: Over 1000 of Joey & Rory’s closest friends drove in from near and far to enjoy the award-winning couple’s 3rd Annual Bib & Buckle Fest. The fun-filled day started with a leisurely canoe float down the Duck River and ended with a moonlit performance by Joey & Rory on the front porch of their 1870s farmhouse.

Food was a large part of the celebration, and desserts from Marcy Jo’s Mealhouse were again a huge hit. The line for hotdogs and burgB&B 3ers at old-time prices was always long, but worth the wait. Free bottled water compliments of Lyon’s GMC dealership in Lewisburg, TN quenched the thirst on the 95-degree June day. Between performances by talented vocal duo Painted Desert (Heidi Feek and Austin Manuel) and moving stories behind the songs of hit songwriters Wynn Varble, Tim Johnson and James Slater, attendees enjoyed visiting the venders booths of clothing, jewelry and handmade wooden furniture.

Always a highlight of Bib & Buckle, several fans shared their talent for a Joey+Rory song during the karaoke event.

While the music was going on in the front yard, the little ones were out back with ropes in hand trying to hook the horns of ropin’ dummies. Joey’s newly-hatched baby chicks were a big hit for the animal lovers, while the bus tours gave a sneak peak into life on the road.

Joey & Rory will finish out June with tour dates in Wisconsin and Kansas, with dates throughout the Midwest and Southeast in July.

Happy Birthday To Rory Lee Feek Of Joey & Rory – Born Today in 1965 – This Song’s For You Rory!

Rory was born in Atchison, Kansas on April 25, 1965. He and his wife Joey make up the duo Joey & Rory, the 2011 ACM Top New Vocal Duo of the Year. Their highest charting single so far is their 2008 debut single Cheater, Cheater, which peaked at #30 on the Billboard Hot Country charts.

My favorite Joey & Rory song is their collaboration with Zac Brown Band called This Song’s For You. In honor of Rory’s birthday, here’s their official music video for This Song’s For You. Enjoy and join us in wishing Rory a happy birthday!
