Happy Birthday To Clint Black – Re-Live A Couple Of His Biggest Hits – ‘A Better Man’ and ‘Killin’ Time’

Clint Black is one of the all-time greats! He was born on February 4, 1962 in Long Branch, New Jersey. He burst onto the scene back in 1989 with the release of his album Killin’ Time, which went to number one on the Billboard Country Albums charts, and it produced four number one country singles in a row with A Better Man, Killin’ Time, Nobody’s Home and Walkin’ Away.

And, the last single from the album, Nothing’s News, peaked at #3. How impressive is that? To celebrate this legend’s birthday, here’s a look at the official music videos for his first two number one hits.

In 1989, Clint Black burst onto the country music scene with two number one singles in a row. His debut single, A Better Man, hit number one, and then on this day in 1989, he took Killin’ Time all the way to number one as well. Enjoy a look back at Clint’s second chart topper:

This day in 1967 was a big one for the late Tammy Wynette. It was the day she realized her very first number one country hit when I Don’t Wanna Play House topped the country charts. When all was said and done, she scored 23 number one hits overall, and she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1998, which was the same year she passed away at the young age of 55.
