Today’s Good Music Is Good Music video comes from Peter Gabriel’s 1994 Secret World tour. It’s a live performance of one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. It’s Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes.
My favorite thing about this video is how generous Peter is with the spotlight. He not only shares the spotlight with his band, he encourages it… That is something more artists of today need to embrace. No matter how good you are, when you step out on stage, you’re only as good as your band. Enjoy!

If you have about four minutes, I encourage you to watch this video. Here’s the description straight from YouTube:
“Corbette Jackson and Stokes Nielson, of the Lost Trailers, recently wrote a song dedicated to a local hero named Chris Landreau. Chris is a firefighter from Georgia that was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Corbette and Stokes took inspiration from this hero and wrote a song that embodies Chris’ spirit – The Heart of a Champion (feat. The Lost Trailers)
This footage was taken at a benefit show in Chris’ honor. The footage in the car is of the first time that Chris heard the song. It is a very emotional scene, and we hope you can appreciate and support Chris’ fight against cancer.”
If you’d like to help, you can download this song on iTunes here. All profits from sales of the song will go to Chris and his family.
This is music at it’s best…

I find this hard to believe, but Blessed from Martina McBride is her last number one single on the Billboard Hot Country charts. It hit number one on this day back in 2002. It’s her fifth overall number one single on the Billboard Country charts. It’s amazing to me that this wonderfully talented singer has not had more number ones.
Her current single, Teenage Daughters is at #35 on the charts right now. If you’re a Martina fan, start calling your local radio station and requesting Teenage Daughters. I’d love to see her achieve another number one.
Enjoy a look back at Martina’s official music video for Blessed.

Justin Moore is celebrating a birthday today. He was born on this day back in 1984 in Poyen, Arkansas. Justin’s released five singles so far in his young career, with one of them (Small Town USA) going to number one. My favorite song from Justin is his #6 single from 2009 Backwoods. Enjoy and happy birthday Justin!

Today’s Good Music Is Good Music video is considered to be one of the best performances from MTV’s Unplugged series. It’s from 1991, and it’s R.E.M. performing Fall On Me. Enjoy!
P.S. For an even older video from R.E.M, check out this video we featured a while back of a very, very young R.E.M. singing Don’t Go Back To Rockville… Enjoy!
